learning process
Kumazawa Judo Therapy Academy is basically an online school for people who are already qualified and working as medical professionals (doctors, nurses, physical therapists, massage therapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists, etc.) in their home countries. Therefore, we will proceed with the class assuming that you have already mastered basic medicine.
However, since Judo Therapy is also a treatment technique for Judo practitioners, we will proceed with the class so that even Judo practitioners who are not familiar with medicine can learn it.

Admission qualifications
Only those who are medical professionals, students studying to become medical professionals, or those who practice traditional Japanese martial arts such as Judo are eligible for admission. Students who fit the above criteria, please go to the "BASIC COURSE" page.

Enrollment
Once you pay the tuition fee and begin watching the online course "Basic knowledge of Judo therapy", you will automatically be registered as a student of our school. Each course has a set time limit, and you can receive a certificate by completing the course within that time period.

Learning Judo Therapy
Learning is based on online videos and text. Each video is a summary of the most important points, so most are under 10 minutes long. Each lecture is followed by a short quiz for a quick review.

Certificate
A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course. We will send you an email where you can download your certificate. This certification is not a license as a medical professional, but a certification that you have acquired knowledge of Judo Therapy from our school.
If you want to practice Judo therapy in Japan, you need to obtain a Japanese national license.

Learning more
Completing only the basic courses will not make you a complete Judo Therapist. For your further learning, we offer a variety of specialized courses, including those specializing in lower back pain, stiff shoulders, trauma, and sports injuries, etc. By completing many specialized courses, you will become a reliable Judo Therapist.

Special practical course
It is difficult to learn actual practical skills only through online courses using computers. Therefore, as a special course, we will hold a practical course taught by the best instructors who are active in Japan either in Japan or abroad. Once we have a certain number of students who want to take the practical lectures, we plan to send Judo therapist lecturers from Japan to hold the lectures on an irregular basis.

The videos will be in English or Japanese with English subtitles. The online textbooks is in English, and the short quiz and exam is also in English, so in order to study here you will need to have the ability to understand English.

Video lessons by Judo Therapists are provided in English or Japanese with English subtitles. Most of the video lessons are 10 minutes or less, so you can watch them while reviewing or taking a break.
Self-study using textbook
We provide online textbooks written in English to learn Judo Therapy. In order to pass the online exam, you will also need to study by yourself using a online textbook. The video lessons summarize important points, but you can learn more deeply by reading the textbook.
Short quiz
Between each lecture there is a short quiz for quick review. Even if you fail the short quiz you can move on to the next lecture, but you cannot move on to the next subject unless you get more than 60% correct in the final exam at the end of each subject. However, you can retake the final exam as many times as you like even if you fail it.

We are not affiliated with any Judo therapy and Judo associations in Japan.
This is an organization independent of all other Judo therapy and Judo organizations in Japan, formed with the aim of spreading the excellent techniques and knowledge of Judo therapy to the world.
